About

I build products that make the complex feel simple and the impossible feel inevitable.

Over the past 8+ years, I've had the privilege of shipping products that touch billions of users—from launching Twitter's first 2FA for web to scaling healthcare marketplaces to seven-figure revenue. But the real story isn't in the metrics (though I love good metrics). It's in the problems that keep me up at night and the moments when everything clicks.

I'm drawn to the hardest product challenges: How do you make AI trustworthy in high-stakes workflows? How do you design marketplaces that actually serve both sides? How do you take enterprise software that makes people miserable and turn it into something they actually want to use?

What drives me

Pattern recognition across domains

I've built consumer products at Twitter, enterprise tools at Microsoft, financial systems at Visa, and healthcare platforms at RxPost. Each taught me something different, but the patterns of what makes products successful—or fail spectacularly—are remarkably consistent.

Obsession with the human element

Technology should amplify human capabilities, not replace human judgment. Whether I'm designing AI workflows or marketplace algorithms, I start with the question: "How does this make someone's day better?"

Speed with intention

As one founder put it, "What most teams tackle in years, Ari delivered in a few months." I move fast not because I'm impatient, but because I've learned to identify what matters most and cut through the noise quickly.

Beyond the resume

Born in Kunming, raised in Texas, educated at Cornell—I've always been between worlds, which taught me to see problems from multiple angles. I think in systems but care deeply about individuals. I love the strategic chess game of product decisions and the tactical satisfaction of watching conversion rates climb.

When I'm not building products, I'm probably exploring a new neighborhood's food scene (I have strong opinions about xiaolongbao), deepening my yoga practice, or working on side projects that will never see the light of day but teach me something essential.

What I'm working on now

I'm currently taking on select product leadership and advisory roles, particularly for companies building:

  • AI-powered tools that require human trust and judgment
  • Two-sided marketplaces in regulated industries
  • Enterprise software that needs consumer-grade UX

I'm also researching how AI can augment decision-making in complex domains like healthcare and finance—making systems smarter without removing the human from the equation.

If you're working on hard problems at the intersection of technology and human needs, I'd love to hear from you. The best conversations happen when two people are wrestling with similar challenges from different angles.

Let's build something meaningful together.
